This category professional rhythmic
gymnastics hoops from world-famous manufacturers such as Pastorelli,
Sasaki, Chacott, and Tuloni.
Professional hoops have a diameter of 60 to 90 cm. A special plastic
composition with polyethylene increases the elasticity and dynamic
properties of the hoop, helping it quickly regain its round shape after
deformation during the execution of complex elements. The International
Gymnastics Federation (FIG) certifies hoops with a diameter from 80 to 90
cm. The minimum weight of a hoop for senior gymnasts is 300 g, and for
juniors 260 g. To match the competition leotard, hoops are decorated with
colorful tape. Multi-colored appliqués and airbrush designs are also
possible. A layer of transparent tape is wrapped around the hoop to protect
the design or the colored covering from premature wear.
Care of the hoop.
Like any gymnastics apparatus, the hoop should only be used on a
gymnastics carpet, stored in a protective cover, and kept away from
sudden temperature changes.
